Musical walk in Bibracte

Participation in the 18th Contemporary Music Series of the Higher Conservatory of Music of Badajoz in April 2026. Concert on April 22 20h at the MEIAC (Extremadura and Ibero-American Museum of Contemporary Art), performing works by contemporary composers such as Gonzalo Navarro, Anthony Braxton, Scelsi, and Sarah Nemtsov, including the world premiere of “Morfología de un latido contenido”.

In addition, as part of the same series, workshop on contemporary music for saxophone on April 21, 2026, at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Badajoz.

Dernière expédition au pays des merveilles, inspiré de Alice au pays des merveilles de Lewis Carroll

Entre le réel et le merveilleux, ce spectacle balance et ne tranche pas. C’est que la puissance subversive du roman de Lewis Caroll se révèle dans cette tension, portée par le personnage d’Alice. Dans l’adaptation libre qu’en offre OperaLab.ch, le pays des merveilles existe et peut être visité, comme n’importe quelle attraction touristique, jusqu’au jour où la ministre de la Culture annonce la fermeture imminente du pays des merveilles. Une dernière expédition au pays des merveilles est alors organisée, à la découverte des êtres fantastiques qui le peuplent. Ce sera l’occasion pour ceux-ci et pour Alice d’imaginer un tout dernier spectacle et de peutêtre sauver ou réinventer leur monde.

L’originalité du projet tient à la volonté artistique de laisser le champ libre aux nombreux personnages rencontrés par Alice : lapin, chapelier, roi et autre reine de cœur offrent alors à ce conte fabuleux et à son héroïne leur chant pressé, léger, tarabiscoté ou maniéré, franc ou conspirateur. Une partition pour 15 musiciens et musiciennes et 5 chanteurs et chanteuses, où les sons électroniques et les images vidéo engagent un jeu dangereux et révélateur avec les sonorités traditionnelles de

l’opéra classique.

Built around the work Nocturne by Mátyás Wettl for 4 performers and 16 lamps, this project consists of a collaboration between the Ensemble PlayTime and the two composers Jaouen Rudolf and Sergei Leonov.

The Ensemble commissioned two new pieces to both composers, using Mátyás Wettl’s installation as a starting point. By proposing this, the Ensemble PlayTime decided to challenge other composers, offering them a platform for reflection, bringing new possibilities out of the initial light installation.

Sonic and scenic experimentations, discussions around concepts and sound techniques, as well as exchanges about staging will be the center of these collaborations.

The program will be complemented by electronic transitions composed by Nicolas Roulive and will include a performance of his work hypermisscommunicativesystem, dedicated to the Ensemble.
